is awarded to the top two students of the Immaculate Conception class of 2011.

is given to a student who shows commitment to the Immaculate Conception Church.

is given to a student who shows dedication in math or English.
Cassandra LaFauci
Peg McCarthy Award
was established in 1998. This award goes to a student who exemplifies a spirit of volunteerism. Mrs. Peg McCarthy was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish who volunteered in a variety of parish and civic programs in the city of Revere. The recipient of this award has been chosen by the teachers and staff because of her unselfish service, positive attitudes, and Catholic values.

Class of 1962 - Robert Hahesy Award
Robert Hahesy was the class president of the class of 1962. Although Robert has gone from this life, his classmates wished to remember his spirit, enthusiasm, leadership and goodwill toward all class members by selecting a student who embodies all that was good in him

The Arthur Romano Scholarship
Arthur Romano, the grandfather of former students Arielle and Ana LeBlanc, served in World War II and was an avid history buff. This award is given to a student who shares Mr. Romano’s passion for history.

Michael Myers Jr. Award
is presented by the Immaculate Conception Student Council to the student who exhibits courage of character and who understands Ernest Hemmingway’s belief that a person can be destroyed but not defeated.

Michael P. Myers Jr. Memorial Scholarship
is presented by the family of Michael Myers to a student who has met the challenges he or she has encountered in life.

Edward Shaughnessy Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Ed was a graduate of Immaculate Conception class of 1999. He was tragically killed in an automobile accident in his senior year in high school. This award is granted to a student who exemplifies the qualities of brotherhood, compassion, integrity, leadership and a determination to make a positive difference in the lives of others and has demonstrated the meaning of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s poetic quote “TO KNOW EVEN ONE LIFE HAS BREATHED EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED. THIS IS THE MEANING OF SUCCESS.”

Lucia DiFlumeri Memorial Award
Award is given by the family of Lucia DiFlumeri, a graduate of Immaculate Conception School, class of 1989. This award is presented to a girl who has demonstrated strong moral character, stands out as persevering and does not easily get discouraged.

Since 1983, The President’s Education Awards have been given to those students who are dedicated to academic excellence.
Outstanding Academic Excellence.
This award is given to those students who maintained an overall academic average of 90% or higher during their middle school years, (2008-2011)

- Student involvement in social service projects, grades 1-8, is reflected in a high rate of Catholic school graduates who participate in civic projects

- Since 2004, I.C. has won the Catholic school basketball conference twice.

- Technology upgrades include a state of the art computer lab with SMART board technology in the lab and grades K-8 classrooms

- School wide Buddy Program where older students assist younger students in a variety of school events
- Monthly school liturgies led by students with recognition/awards for virtue and character
- Actively encourages a variety of prayer experiences designed to build community, self-esteem, and a framework for approaching life’s challenges. Experiences include grade eight retreats, note and spontaneous prayer.
- 100% acceptance rate, for those who apply, into area Catholic High Schools. 30% of our graduates, on average receive academic scholarships to these schools
- Our graduating class of 2009 performed over 50% higher than the national average on standardized testing
- Car pooling opportunities are available with the 26 Winthrop students who attend I.C.
- Our eighth graders complete full course of Algebra
- Full & part time programs for ages 3 and up
- Rigorous curriculum integrated with today’s technology via smart boards
- Before and after school programs are available
- NEASC accredited
- Comprehensive instruction in art, music, and physical education
- Latin culture and language offered for middle school students
- Our after-school enrichment clubs include chess, drama, art, cooking, Great Books Discussion, Destination Imagination, and dance.
- Our students are given myriad public speaking opportunities through: class room presentations starting in Kindergarten School wide presentations in 6-8th grades through science fair and Country Day Reading at school-wide masses Presenting their historical figure to classmates, parents and faculty in grade 3
- Our eight grade students and teachers prepare and serve meals at My Daily Bread
- We offer a competitive basketball program for grades 5-8
