Tiny Tots is a program designed for three year olds and is our students'
first introduction to the school setting. The focus of the program is to help
students learn to socialize with one another and to start developing skills that
they will need throughout school. The children work on color recognition, shape
recognition, and basic counting skills. They study topics such as butterflies, flowers,
the four seasons and other subjects that the students find interesting in their
own environment. Fine motor skills are developed through painting, cutting,
gluing, and drawing. The students enjoy listening to stories such as Flat
Stanley, Caps for Sale, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar and
discussing them afterwards. The students go to gym once a week to develop their
gross motor skills.
